One day, Jack heard of three giants terrorizing the nearby village. They were stealing livestock, ruining crops, and scaring the villagers. The people were too afraid to stand up to the giants, so Jack decided to take matters into his own hands.
Jack climbed up into the hills where the giants lived and found them lounging around a campfire. He snuck closer and, in his best giant voice, shouted, "Who dares to trespass on my land?" The three giants looked around in confusion. "I am the biggest and strongest giant in these parts!" Jack bellowed. "And I don't like other giants stealing from my people!"
The giants, thinking a larger and more powerful giant was nearby, began to argue amongst themselves. "He's your problem!" one giant shouted. "No, he's after you!" another retorted. The giants became so frightened that they turned on each other, each one trying to prove he was not afraid of the mysterious voice.
While they were distracted, Jack crept down to their lair and stole back all the stolen livestock and goods. By the time the giants realized what had happened, Jack had already returned the stolen items to the village and was sitting comfortably at home, sipping tea.
The villagers celebrated Jack as a hero, and the three giants were never seen again, scared off by the mysterious "giant" who defended the village with nothing but his clever tricks.
