In a dry and barren land, where water was scarce and precious, there lived a thirsty crow searching for a drink. After flying for miles without finding any water, the crow finally came upon a pitcher lying in the sand.

Hopeful that the pitcher might contain water, the crow flew down and peered inside. To his dismay, he found that the pitcher held only a small amount of water at the bottom, far out of his reach.

Determined to quench his thirst, the crow tried to tip the pitcher over with his beak, but it was too heavy. No matter how hard he tried, the water remained just out of reach.

Thinking quickly, the crow picked up nearby pebbles in his beak and dropped them one by one into the pitcher. With each pebble he dropped, the water level rose little by little.

After dropping several pebbles into the pitcher, the crow watched in amazement as the water level rose higher and higher, until at last, it reached the top. With a grateful caw, the crow drank deeply from the now-accessible water.

Filled with relief and gratitude, the crow realized that he had solved his problem through ingenuity and perseverance. Though the pitcher had seemed impossible to reach at first, he had found a way to access the water by using the resources available to him.

The moral of the story is: The importance of resourcefulness and determination in overcoming obstacles.
