| Notes: | This skit requires 6-9 participants including police, bloodhounds, and three Scouts who hide in trees. The Scouts make animal sounds - Eagle does bird imitations, First Class does cat sounds, Tenderfoot does mooing. The mooing gets them caught! Can be adapted with different Scout ranks or roles. |
(Three Scouts, an Eagle, First Class and a Tenderfoot, are running from the police and a group of bloodhounds. They reach the point of exhaustion and are about to get caught, so they climb some trees.)
(Three Scouts already positioned in trees can assume the roles of the Eagle, First Class, and Tenderfoot Scout, or the original three can simply hide behind trees while the announcer explains these three Scouts have climbed the trees.)
(The dogs go to the first tree, with the police officers right behinds them. The Eagle Scout does bird imitations in an attempt to fool the dogs. A police officer retorts, "Dumb dogs, there's nothing but birds up that tree!")
(The group goes to the next tree where the First Class Scout does a cat imitation. "Dumb dogs, that's just a cat!")
(Finally they go to the third tree, where the Tenderfoot is hiding. The Tenderfoot begins shouting, "Moooo, Mooo, Moooo!")
(Variations: Alternatively the Eagle Scout can be assigned the role of the goat. An announcer can be used to set the stage for this skit. An unlimited amount of Scouts can optionally be employed in this skit to play the part of police officers and dogs.)
