Notes:The Indian should deliver the wagon description slowly and seriously, with confidence. Cowboy 1's amazed speech should be over the top. The punchline lands best with a deadpan delivery.

(Two cowboys walk in and spot someone lying on the ground with their ear pressed to the dirt.)

[Cowboy 1:] You see that Indian?

[Cowboy 2:] Yeah.

[Cowboy 1:] Look - he's listening to the ground. He can hear things for miles in any direction.

(The Indian looks up slowly.)

[Indian:] Covered wagon... about two miles away. Have two horses, one brown, one white. Man, woman, child, household effects in wagon.

[Cowboy 1:] Incredible! This Indian knows how far away they are, how many horses, what color they are, who is in the wagon, AND what is in the wagon. Amazing!

[Indian:] Ran over me about a half hour ago.
