Category: Running Gags
Props: Large can, pair of socks, and a ladle. A pair of tongs. The condiments being added can just be mimed.
Notes: Place the can with the socks in it near the edge of the stage, so it is out of the way of the rest of the acts, but visible
Notes: The number of parts can be adjusted by adding or removing tastings.

PART ONE:

Emcee notices the can.

Emcee:   It looks like (Scoutmaster) is cooking dinner. It sure smells good.

Emcee takes a ladle full of "soup" and slurps it noisily.

Emcee:   Mmmmm, that's good. But it could use a little salt.

Emcee pulls a salt shaker from his pocket and adds salt to the "soup."

PART TWO, after a couple of acts:

Emcee goes back over to the can.

Emcee:   Dinner is really smelling good!

Emcee takes a ladle full of "soup" and slurps it noisily.

Emcee:   Mmmm, it's tasting really good, but it needs some pepper.

Emcee pulls a pepper shaker from his pocket and adds pepper to the "soup."

PART THREE: repeat as before but with Mayonnaise.

PART FOUR (FINALE):

Emcee goes back over to the can.

Emcee:   Dinner is really smelling good! I can't wait.

Emcee takes a ladle full of "soup" and slurps it noisily.

Scoutmaster comes on to stage and over to the can.

Emcee:   (To Scoutmaster) Mr Smith? When is supper going to be ready? I'm really hungry.

Scoutmaster:   Supper? I haven't even started supper.

Scout #1:   Well what is this, then? (Takes another loud slurp.)

Scoutmaster:   (Lifts the sock out of the can) It's my socks.

Emcee makes uggh sounds, and gurgling noises as they exit the stage, making room for the Cheer Master or Song Master and the next act.
