What They Don't Tell You About Crossing Over

| Notes: | Delivered by an older Scout or the Scoutmaster on behalf of the existing troop, speaking directly to the Scouts crossing over. |
I remember crossing this bridge. I remember thinking Scouts BSA was going to be harder, more serious - that the fun was mostly over and the work was about to begin.
I was wrong about that. Not about the work part - the work is real. But the fun got bigger too.
What nobody told me was that camping with older Scouts who actually know what they're doing changes everything. The meals get better. The fires get built faster. The stories get told later into the night. You learn things by watching, by asking, by being part of something that was here before you and will be here after you.
That's what you're walking into. Not just a troop - a tradition. One that now includes you.
We've been watching you tonight. You're going to fit in just fine.
