Waste Not, Want Not

| Notes: | Using camp resources wisely teaches us to respect what we have. |
On a campout, you quickly learn the value of everything you brought. That roll of paper towels isn't unlimited. The propane in your stove won't last forever. The food you packed has to stretch across all your meals. Waste something early, and you'll wish you had it later.
Some people think being thrifty means being stingy or cheap. But that's not it at all. A Scout is thrifty because we understand that resources - whether it's food, water, money, or time - are limited. Using them wisely isn't about denying ourselves; it's about making sure we have what we need when we need it.
The habits you build at camp - using just enough, saving for later, making do with what you have - will serve you well in life. Because thriftiness isn't about doing without. It's about making the most of what you've been given.
