The Receipt

| Notes: | Honesty in everyday transactions defines character. |
You're at the store, and the cashier hands you your change. You glance at the receipt on the way out and realize they gave you back $10 too much. Or maybe they forgot to charge you for something. What do you do?
No one would know if you kept walking. The store won't miss it. You didn't ask for the mistake. Besides, big companies can afford it, right? These are the stories we tell ourselves when we want to keep something that isn't ours.
But a Scout is trustworthy, and that means we're honest even about small things, even when no one is watching, even when it would be easy to walk away. Because character isn't built in the big dramatic moments - it's built in quiet decisions at cash registers and in the small choices we make when no one else will ever know.
