Cubs, did you know you can be a detective without a magnifying glass? A Feelings Detective looks for clues about how other people are feeling. Maybe a friend is sitting by themselves at recess. Maybe someone's shoulders are slumped and they're looking at the ground. Maybe someone's smile doesn't look quite right today. Those are all clues!
When you notice those clues, you can do something about it. You could say, 'Hey, want to play with us?' or 'Are you okay?' or just sit next to them so they know they're not alone. You don't need to fix everything - sometimes just noticing is enough to help someone feel better.
This week, try being a Feelings Detective. Look for clues about how the people around you are feeling. When you spot someone who might need a friend, be brave enough to do something about it. That's what good detectives do - they don't just find clues, they take action.
