The Broken Compass

| Notes: | A story about staying true to your course even when shortcuts seem tempting. |
Imagine you're navigating in the woods with a compass that's slightly off - just a few degrees. At first, you won't notice. The trail looks right, the direction feels close enough. But give it a mile or two, and you'll find yourself completely lost, wondering how you got so far from where you meant to be.
That's what happens when we take small shortcuts with the truth. Exaggerating a story just a little. Leaving out one important detail. Letting someone believe something that's not quite accurate. It seems harmless at first - just a few degrees off course.
But a Scout is trustworthy, and that means we follow true north - complete honesty, even when it's harder. Because once people can't trust your compass, they won't follow you anywhere.
