The Boy Who Cried Wolf

| Notes: | The classic fable about how lying destroys trust, even when you later tell the truth. |
You probably know the old story: a shepherd boy gets bored watching sheep and decides to have some fun by shouting "Wolf! Wolf!" The villagers rush to help - but there's no wolf. He does it again the next day. Same result. Everyone rushes up, and he laughs at the trick.
Then one day, a real wolf appears. The boy screams for help - but this time, no one comes. They've learned not to trust his word. The sheep are lost, and the boy learns a hard lesson: trust, once broken, is nearly impossible to rebuild.
A Scout is trustworthy. That means we don't lie, not even as a joke, not even when it seems harmless. Because when people stop believing your words, you lose something far more valuable than sheep - you lose the ability to help others, to lead, and to be counted on when it truly matters.
