In the summer of 2018, 12 boys and their soccer coach went exploring a cave in Thailand. Unexpected rains flooded the tunnels, and they became trapped deep underground-more than a mile from the entrance.
For over two weeks, rescuers from around the world came together-divers, doctors, engineers, and volunteers. It was dangerous. It was delicate. And it worked. All 13 were brought out alive.
One rescuer, a former Navy SEAL, lost his life. He gave everything so others could live.
