Standing By Your Friends

| Notes: | True friends don't abandon each other when friendship becomes inconvenient. |
Your friend makes a mistake. Maybe they fail publicly, or become unpopular for a while, or are going through a difficult time that makes them less fun to be around. This is when you learn what loyalty really means.
Fair-weather friends are easy to find - people who stick around when things are going well. But true loyalty shows up when standing by someone costs you something. When it's socially awkward. When it requires effort. When there's no benefit to you except keeping your commitment to friendship.
A Scout is loyal to friends, especially when those friends are struggling. That doesn't mean you support wrong behavior, but it does mean you don't abandon people when they're down. Because someday you'll be the one who needs a loyal friend, and you'll be grateful for the Scout who chose to stand by you.
