Sam Walton: Built with a Scout's Foundation
Sam Walton started with one small store in Arkansas-and eventually built Walmart and Sam's Club into two of the largest retail chains in the world.
But long before that, he was an Eagle Scout. He raised rabbits, delivered newspapers, and earned merit badges that taught him the value of honesty, thrift, and cheerful service. He carried those lessons into every business decision he made.
He was known for driving an old pickup truck, visiting his stores in person, and treating employees and customers with respect.
Scouts don't just learn how to pitch tents or tie knots. We learn how to live. Sam Walton showed that you can build something big-and stay grounded in the values that matter most.
