Natalie du Toit: No Limits, No Excuses

Natalie du Toit was a rising young swimmer in South Africa when tragedy struck-at age 17, she lost her left leg in a motorcycle accident.

Most people would've given up competitive sports. But not Natalie. Within months, she was back in the water. Training. Pushing herself. And in 2008, she became the first Paralympian to qualify for the Olympic Games-competing against able-bodied swimmers in Beijing.

She didn't ask for pity. She asked for a lane.

Scouts learn to be brave, to face challenges with heart, and to never use hardship as an excuse. Natalie's story reminds us that greatness isn't about what you have-it's about what you do with it.
