Category:Competitions
Notes:Use as a closing reflection after a Rain Gutter Regatta or Pinewood Derby event. Celebrates effort, sportsmanship, and Scout spirit.

Scouts, what a night! We saw boats zip, spin, and splash down the rain gutters—and every single one of them was powered by hard work and Scout spirit.

Some of you took home a medal or ribbon tonight. That's exciting—and you earned it! But many of you didn't win a prize… and that's okay.

Because here's the truth: **there is pride in doing your best, win or lose.**

It takes effort to build a boat or a car. It takes courage to compete. And it takes real strength to say "great job" to someone who finished ahead of you.

If you cheered for others… if you stayed kind when things didn't go your way… if you had fun and gave it your all… then you didn't just race tonight—you showed what it means to be a Scout.

So take that pride home with you. And remember: the trophy on the shelf isn't as important as the smile on your face, the kindness in your heart, and the lessons you carry into the next adventure.

Great job, Scouts. You made us all proud tonight.
