D-Day: The Longest Day
On June 6, 1944, thousands of Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy, France. It was the largest amphibious invasion in history-and one of the most dangerous.
Many of those soldiers were just a few years older than most Scouts. Yet they faced machine guns, mines, and uncertainty-all for a cause greater than themselves: to free Europe from tyranny.
Some never made it home. But because of their courage, the world changed for the better.
Remember D-Day not just for the battle-but for the bravery, the unity, and the belief that freedom is worth defending.
