Lions, you are the youngest Cub Scouts in the whole pack. And you're starting on a big adventure.

Being a Lion is special, because you don't do it alone. You do it with your grown-up, your adult partner. You learn together, play together, and go on adventures together. Grown-ups, that's one of the best parts. Enjoy it.

Every Cub Scout, from Lions all the way up to the oldest Scouts in the pack, has the same motto. Let's say it together: Do Your Best!

That's it. That's the whole thing. You don't have to be the fastest, or the smartest, or the best at everything. You just have to try your very hardest. When you do that, you've done what a Cub Scout is supposed to do.

So Lions, this year, every time you try something new, every time something is hard, remember those three words. Do Your Best.

And let's hear one more big Lion roar!
