Meeting Opening #5 - One Good Turn
| Category: | Meeting Openings |
|---|---|
| Notes: | A short opening that starts the meeting with the Scout Slogan and one real Good Turn from the week. Ask a patrol leader before the meeting to have a Scout ready, so there is no awkward silence; after a few weeks, Scouts start volunteering. Part of a series of short meeting openings and closings. |
SPL: 'Troop, attention. What is the Scout Slogan?'
Troop: 'Do a Good Turn Daily!'
SPL: 'Who did one this week?'
(One Scout tells their Good Turn in a sentence or two. If more hands go up, take one more and save the rest for next week.)SPL: 'Nobody gave them a badge for that. They just did it. Troop, the Scout Slogan.'
Troop: 'Do a Good Turn Daily!'
SPL: 'Two.'
