Category:Meeting Openings
Notes:A one-minute troop meeting opening the Senior Patrol Leader can run with no preparation. Patrols take turns saying the points of the Scout Law, so every patrol has to be paying attention. Works with any number of patrols; with two patrols, each says six points. Part of a series of short meeting openings and closings.

SPL: 'Troop, Scout sign.'

(Wait until every hand is up and the room is quiet.)

SPL: 'We will say the Scout Law around the room, one point per patrol, in order. Miss your turn, and your patrol starts the whole thing over. [FIRST PATROL], begin.'

(The first patrol says "Trustworthy." The next patrol says "Loyal." Keep going around the patrols in order until all twelve points are said: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.)

SPL: 'That is the Scout Law. Let us live it tonight. Two.'
