Meeting Closing #3 - Rose and Thorn by Patrol
| Category: | Meeting Closings |
|---|---|
| Notes: | A quick closing that gives the patrol leaders' council something real to work with. Each patrol leader gives one rose (something that went well tonight) and one thorn (something that did not). The Senior Patrol Leader writes them down for the next planning meeting. Keep it to one of each per patrol. For a longer, campfire version, see Thorns and Roses in Campfire Closings. Part of a series of short meeting openings and closings. |
SPL: 'Troop, attention. Before we go, patrol leaders: one rose and one thorn from tonight. What went well, and what did not.'
SPL: '[PATROL NAME] Patrol.'
(The patrol leader gives one rose and one thorn. The SPL writes them down. Repeat for each patrol. No arguing with a thorn - just write it down.)SPL: 'Thank you. The patrol leaders' council will look at every one of these. Troop, the Scout Law.'
(The troop recites the Scout Law.)SPL: 'Dismissed.'
