Crossover Ceremony: Webelos to Scouts BSA

Setup
The bridge divides the ceremony space - the pack and family on one side, the troop on the other. The Scoutmaster and three Senior Scouts stand on the troop side. The Webelos Scout stands with the Cubmaster on the pack side. Brief all participants on their lines and cues beforehand.
Participants

The Ceremony
(Webelos Scout stands with Cubmaster at the foot of the bridge on the pack side.)Cubmaster: '[SCOUT NAME], you have earned your Arrow of Light. You have done what it takes to call yourself a Cub Scout in full - and now it is time to go further than we can take you. The bridge before you leads to Scouts BSA. To older Scouts, bigger challenges, and campouts we can only imagine from here. We are proud of who you have become in this pack.'
(Cubmaster walks Scout to the foot of the bridge.)Cubmaster: 'Cross when you are ready.'
(Scout crosses the bridge. Scoutmaster steps forward and extends a hand at the far side.)Scoutmaster: 'Welcome. I am [SCOUTMASTER NAME], Scoutmaster of Troop [TROOP NUMBER]. You have crossed over, and everything on this side is yours to earn.'
The Neckerchief
(Senior Scout 1 steps forward.)Senior Scout 1: (Removes the Webelos neckerchief and slide. Places the troop neckerchief and slide.) 'Every Scout in Troop [TROOP NUMBER] wears this neckerchief. Now you do too.'
The Rope
(Senior Scout 2 steps forward, holding a coiled length of rope.)Senior Scout 2: 'This rope is yours. Thread it through your belt loops - it is useful in camp, on the trail, and in places you have not been yet. It also comes with an assignment: learn to tie a square knot, a bowline, and two half hitches. When you are ready, show me. I will test you myself.'
The Handbook
(Senior Scout 3 steps forward, holding a Scout Handbook.)Senior Scout 3: 'This is the Scout Handbook. It is not light reading - it is a field guide. Everything you need to earn Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class is in here. Read it. Use it. Keep it handy.'
The Welcome
Scoutmaster: '[SCOUT NAME], you are a Scout. This troop has a history that began before you arrived, and now you are part of it. Troop [TROOP NUMBER] -'
(Scoutmaster gestures to the troop. All Scouts raise the Scout sign.)All Scouts: 'Welcome to the troop.'
Tip: For multiple crossovers, repeat the bridge crossing and all three presentations individually for each Scout. The ceremony carries more weight when each Scout is recognized one at a time.
